Bad psp job, but you get the gist of my ONE TRUE LOVE. Or obsession. :) Just as wonderful as it looks, smells and feels soooooooo good :) Only in Espana, my friends. :)

(And no, lefthand_path, I didn't stand in my light box...heh.)

You can't tell! I cut the photo down. You can only see HALF of my legs (my legs are looooooooong). The skirt wasn't so long; the over-the-knee socks just LOOK like the fringe on a skirt. Too much skin showed, so I didn't post the big pics.

I could probably be bribed into taking some better ones ;-)

I'm so bad.

There's no such thing as "too much skin" when it comes to you :)

Email me the better ones, or at least the big ones!

Nein!!! :)

I'm going to take some pics. The point was to take pics of the /shoes/, not my legs. lol :)

ROFLMAO.

OMG. You could ONLY see tights; no skin!!

p.s. - that's not a skirt; that's lace at the top of the stockings.

Dang. Send me an e-mail with the real pic so I can see the detail! I'm speaking of the shoes of course ;)

Don't make me come over there!

Of the shoes? I have a close up. However -- if you go to the website, "anthropologie" and search for "lovenote bootie" you'll find it there.

What did you want to see in e-mail? I'll get whatev ya wanna see.

Now those are beautiful, classic, LOVELY shoes. They'll do you for years. They look really well made, not wildly trendy (so you'll be able to wear them for a long, long time), and I bet they're also blissfully comfortable.

Sehr gut! Sehr nobel, und schon auch!

I fell /in love/ the moment I saw them. They're hand-crafted in Spain. I thought no way I'd ever have the, so I stared forelornly at the photo for how long? lol :)

Z, despite the severe financial crunch it caused, got them for our second anniversary. I never thought in a million yaers he'd indulge me in something like this.

You should see then in person. Sooooo beautiful. Almost elfin :D

Oh wow. You were bought them as an anniversary present? What a guy! MAJOR gold stars to him!

I had a beautiful pair of Bruno Magli courts once, 3inch heels, brown butter-soft leather, and like a damn fool I gave them away when the first baby arrived. They were absolute classic shoes and I should've kept them as an incentive to lose weight until I could wear them again!

Ah well.

I made that /same mistake/ when I had Kelsey. Two years' later, I thought I'd never lose the extra 60 lbs., so I gave away some /very/ nice clothes, shoes, etc.

One year later, I lost 100 lbs. Meh! NOW, I'm a packrat :D Not going to let that happen again.

You know what kills me? Men ask "why do you girls love shoes"? Yet THEY'RE the ones who think we're sexy in them.

Uh...guys need to be thinking before commenting. I /always/ get comments/compliments on my shoes be it woman or man. I'm very careful with my choices and buy wisely. These are different from my "usual style" (although i prefer heels to flats for ANY occasion...helps with my knees).

What time is it there? lol! I'm the only one up in the states, I think. :)

It's nearly 11am, Saturday morning. I've had the wall-repair guys here for 2.5 hours already, so no point in trying to sleep in!

Still, they have good taste in classic pop radio stations.

Ah. I've been up since 3 a.m. Insomnia. Blah.

It's good that they listen to cool music. It could be worse! LOL

Still, it's your house and if it disturbs you, say something (I read about their being rude the other day, and thought I'd either have to LEAVE to write, or ask them to just hushhhhhh). :)

I can't write with a cacophony of noise.

Oh, they're not rude. Very, very polite, actually. But yes, it's disruptive, and yes, I'll be very very glad to have the paper gone from my windows.

see? i like the shoes. and i know how much they cost. and i still think they need to have like bazookas and flying jets built into them. you women and your shoes. actually, i guess i somewhat understand, since it amused me to no end to buy some steel toed boots and actually dropped a cinder block on them without having it hurt

Hahahaha. I agree (begrudgingly) that they were WAY too expensive. But...if you could see them up close and personal, you'd understand /why/.

I don't obsess over /things/. When I do, it happens once every 20 years or so...or 15 or something. Tis why I'm glad I'm NOT a material girl; I know how to smell out the most expensive item in a store before looking at the price tag.

However -- we won't get into the /other/ uses that money could've been used for. Not now, not tomorrow, not ev. I love them, and they'll serve me well for the rest of my life :)

What're you doing?

I keep forgetting it's FRIDAY. You should be /here/! Gah.

Nov. 24th, 2007 04:09 am (UTC)
oh yeah i understand about price not being an issue with certain things, if there are those one or two "materialistic goods" that make you happy that's always a good thing, its just as you and i both know there are soooo many people who have those "one or two materialistic goods" that they have to have crop up every other week, then every week, then every day...

right now, i am about ready to pass out. didn't have my afternoon nap, and as an old man i get kinda grumpy. i'm hoping to stagger back into my bedroom and pass out, but the couch here in the living room seems too inviting.

it is friday, isn't it? thought it was saturday.

Words.

Here is Belladonna, the Lady of the Rocks,
The lady of situations.
Here is the man with three staves, and here the Wheel,
And here is the one-eyed merchant, and this card
Which is blank, is something that he carries on his back,
Which I am forbidden to see. I do not find
The Hanged Man. Fear death by water.
I see crowds of people, walking round in a ring.
Thank you. If you see dear Mrs. Equitone,
Tell her I bring the horoscope myself;

One must be so careful these days.
