Yesterday was a blur, and today just crazy

I had the WORST MIGRAINE in memory which lasted all day yesterday. I couldn't stand any smells, noise or light, and wanted to take a knife and stab into my left temporal lobe. Ugh. I was also nauseated on top of all that. I /think/ I know what might've contributed to it, but I'd hate to think so.

Kelsey and I were doing fine yesterday. Today? ARRRRRRRRGH TEENAGERS. I swear, she's asking for it.

FedEx came by last night while I was picking Kelsey up and left his phone number on the missed ya slip. I called him, and he rushed back over here! I <3 my FedEx man, Jimmie. He and my mailman are so awesome. He didn't have to do that, but knows that the victor alpha sends this medication several days of the month. This is the same guy who waited about 30 minutes for me to get home FROM FedEx. You just don't get service like that anymore.

I was contacted by Delta Airlines for a position as flight attendant for international flights to and from Europe. My ability to speak Dutch, I think, was why they contacted me. I have a feeling if I even think about going for this, I can kiss everyone goodbye. I /almost/ went through the training when I graduated high school; now wouldn't be a far stretch. Things are so uncertain these days *sigh*. Trying not to get all despondent about it, but finding it hard not to.

Kelsey wants /nothing/ for Christmas, as usual, so I'll have to play the mind-reading-mommy-guessing-game yet again. I haaaaaaaaate guessing what she might want because I usually end up wasting too much money on things she doesn't want. I'm still selling her journals for People To People, but she'll need more money than the journals are bringing in.

Speaking of...you guys need to order a few as last-minute gifts!!! Christmas discount that ya can't beat!!

Yeah [/shameful plug for the journals...so I have a feeling coming up with enough dead presidents to at least send her on the minimum tour will be her present for both that and half her birthday. She /will/ be 16 (acccckkkk!!!) which is special. I want her to have a summer she won't forget. This trip will be part of that I hope (SO AGAIN, ORDER A JOURNAL! ORDER TWO! YOU AND THE SPOUSE AND YOUR KIDS WILL LUFF THEM!).

I'm wiped out from today, so I have nothing interesting, mind-boggling or bizarre to contribute. I hope my friend's list had a loverly day. :> Well, most of yas.

And now, yet another meme ganked shameless from padiwack:

What The Holidays Mean to You

For you, the holidays are a very spiritual time. You have as much holiday fun as everyone else - but you never forget what you're celebrating.

You celebrate the holidays in a minimalist style. You are likely to only give one great present and decorate your house with a few special items.

During the holidays, you feel happily busy. There's so much to do and not a lot of time to do it. But you enjoy every minute of your holiday chores.

You think the holidays should be comforting and relaxing. You don't like the holiday rush... you just like the simple pleasure of the holidays.

Your favorite holiday memories are complete and very visual. Past holiday events play out like a video in your mind.

Woah. /Almost/ entirely true.

The end.

Ack, sorry about the migraine. They are the worst. I have two different scripts and a script for pain meds and they can still knock me on my arse.

Can you give Kelsey a gift card? It's not a fun gift, but at least you'll know she'll get what she really wants for Christmas.

Everybody gets her gift cards, so I was hoping to be different. I might have to defer to them after all.

I'd kill for a script right now. Ugh. Makes it hard to function and I'm not used to gettig them =/

I hear ya. I don't like to give GC's to the Punk either. Fortunately, she is easy to shop for and loves to get gifts.

Owies - sympathy about the migraine. I hate those bitches, and mine are nowhere near as bad as what you describe!

My girls and I have worked out a system of gift-giving for the past two years. I do their Christmas stockings still - but with the silliest, cheapest, glitziest makeup and nonsense I can find, as well as the traditional apple and orange; they do a similar one for me!
Then each of us gets ONE big, sensible, something-we've-really-needed type present. And that's it, really.

It's awful trying to guess what someone might want/appreciate for Christmas when they won't SAY. Really frustrating.

He doesn't have a crush! He's just a good guy :)

You don't have to keep po-mouthing to me. I haven't worked since January AND get no child support. I don't care about not having money to go somewhere or do anything; I hate worrying about groceries.

ugh. don't get me started on that one.

I could totally see you as a flight attendant - or at least in the uniform of one!

Words.

Here is Belladonna, the Lady of the Rocks,
The lady of situations.
Here is the man with three staves, and here the Wheel,
And here is the one-eyed merchant, and this card
Which is blank, is something that he carries on his back,
Which I am forbidden to see. I do not find
The Hanged Man. Fear death by water.
I see crowds of people, walking round in a ring.
Thank you. If you see dear Mrs. Equitone,
Tell her I bring the horoscope myself;

One must be so careful these days.
