The day that wanted to be a week

Wow. Today was...just too frenetic.

I need to give some serious shout-outs to Z for keeping me fed, and also picking up the granite and black posterboard I need for my photos. While he was at it, he brought homemade fudge and other yummy things.

I have two options in the workforce right now, and need to make a decision. Right now, I'm working as a freelance writer for a couple of people. It's not /bad/ but the pay isn't good. After my initial submissions yesterday, you would've thought I was John Updike, based on the praise I received (and the extra money they're paying me now). Many "wanna bes" apply and bid for these jobs. I'm not one of 'em.

Christmas is scary. I really don't want to talk about it, as I'm totally STUCK as to what to do. With the will up in the air until FEBRUARY, and my brother with a key to the house, it's not looking good. That's all I'll say about that.

Tomorrow is going to be just as hectic as today. I did learn that I need several operations, none of which I'll get (as I've explained to them).

While I really want to experiment with my all black reflective art/photo studio, I'm tapped from today. I don't have the energy to eat, much less mess with that. It's kind of amazing, how learning information can suck the life out of you.

Keep your fingers crossed for the jobs. Don't need to be jinxed right now.

And that's that. Sort of. Of all I wish to write. :>

Ewwwwwwww I was thinking about those in the SHOWER TODAY, and turned the water on scalding hot, just letting it pour all over my body, thinking I'd BURN THOSE GROWTHS that might be lying in wait. LOL.

I should've never venturd there...

Just popping in to say hi. Call me tomorrow if you feel like it. I have the day off. Turning 45. Yikes. I'm going to bed now since I'M SO OLD.

LOL!

Thanks! Things went great, thank God. Now, I'm again playing the waiting game. Ugh.

(P.S. -- I didn't receive notification that you'd sent this...is El Jay scrooging up again?)

LOL! That, or aohell scrooging up again. And again. And again.

Hey...I could ask you this -- what's a decent little present I could give my FedEx guy? He goes WAY above the call of duty to get my critical meds to me each month. What would you do?

Hm. Bake him some cookies? I wouldn't go too elaborate, they may have rules, but some cookies or just a little bag filled with assorted candy?

I wonder if he has an iPod for his travels? A small GC for iTunes?

I thought about food, but he could be a diabetic, or worse -- be leary of anything "homemade" (fudge was my choice, in a tin). A giftcard, perhaps, but again, I don't know him well enough. Argh. I don't know if he has an iPod, but LimeWire is free :) lol. I'm leaning towards a giftcard, I think, even though I really can't afford it at allllllllll.

You know what? I think a heartfelt handwritten note on some nice stationary would probably be the best gift you could give him. Maybe even offer to put in a good word with his supervisor.

No one takes the time anymore to truly write a thank you. Not an email, but an honest to goodness letter. Something like that touches a person on a much deeper level than a box of chocolates or a GC.

Just a thought.

I've called his supervisor (two months' ago) and he received an outstanding review this quarter. :) I was happy about that, and did make his supervisor aware that not only was he quick, but also paid attention to crucial details while doing his job.

I agree about the hand-written notes (which is why I made the Christmas poll...so I can send cards and words to my friends :D ). Whatever I do WILL include something hand-written on a card. :)

If that /other/ option is the one I'm thinking of, might wanna wait until K is in college since you wouldn't be home much. My next-door neighbor has been doing it nearly 10 years; she took a break in April (partly for health reasons) and got so antsy she went back to it in October. LOL.

I would never let a job option interfere with Kelsey and my relationship, ever. These are all geographically perfect, but one is just harder than another (which means more money; but not happiness).

Words.

Here is Belladonna, the Lady of the Rocks,
The lady of situations.
Here is the man with three staves, and here the Wheel,
And here is the one-eyed merchant, and this card
Which is blank, is something that he carries on his back,
Which I am forbidden to see. I do not find
The Hanged Man. Fear death by water.
I see crowds of people, walking round in a ring.
Thank you. If you see dear Mrs. Equitone,
Tell her I bring the horoscope myself;

One must be so careful these days.
