Right now

It's 16 degrees.

WTHHHHHHHHHH MOTHER NATURE?!?!?

No wonder everyone stays sick 'round he-ya.

My poor furnace is cranking and clocking some serious overtime and STILL not heating this little matchbox. I fear I'm gonna die in this crap. I've always thought one of these two things will kill me: the cold or spiders. I came close with that big black widow at work. NOW mother nature steps in again. Oh yeah...and since relative humidity will be below 25% from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. today, we're under a FIRE WATCH.

HEY MN, I'M SURE THE HOMELESS WOULD LIKE A LIL BIT OF THAT ACTION.

I've given away my last comforter to a homeless guy who was sleeping on a bench on the southside. I have none left to give, or I'd be at the mission this morning. Imagine all the homeless right now, freezing with NOWHERE to go. =( Maybe I'll round 'em up and bring them home with me. Yeah. That death wish rears its head again.

Of course, mother nature owns both of my death methods. It's so cold, the AIR HURTS in here. I'm staying in bed. My body...well, I'd trade with ANYONE on my friend's list right now, despite some of those who think they're "really really bad off". I'LL TRADE. RIGHT NOW. YEP.

Pfffffffffffft.

you know, that's the cool thing about the BAM i go to to hang out, drink coffee, and read free books. there's always one or two homeless guys crashed out on one of the comfy chairs in there, all day long, and no one says a damn thing. same thing at the main library. no one ever says shit. i finally asked one guy one day if he'd like a cup of coffee (he never asks anyone for anything) and he said "No thanks, it makes me nervous"

sorry to hear about the pain. *sends head rub*

If I was a manager of any store, I'd let them hang out, too. I realize that it could be a problem, if a customer had a child, and started railing about this or that. Still -- I'd let them stay as long as I could. I think it's horrible that we, as a country, can spend billions on this "war" and not a dime on the homeless. Jimmy Hale is NOT big enough to house the homeless. Each time I've driven by, there are always about 30-40 men and women hanging out there, smoking, with nowhere to go. :( It's just depressing. Before we start policing up OTHER countries, we should try to make ours one we're at LEAST proud of. As a citizen I'm ashamed at how the homeless are treated. :(

Thanks for the virtual headrub. It's the cold :/

Two words, Terri: Sub-zero. AGAIN.

Not sure how long it will last. The lower humidity causes problems to our chemical photo-printer machine at work, too. If it wasn't so cold I'd play in the snow or go sledding after work tomorrow.

Oh, it warmed up enough yesterday/last night to rid us of the snow. Greaaaaaaaaat. Now we're just stuck with freakin' cold, painful weather. Blah.

No doubt it would save me a fortune in lieu of using the heating system! :)

Words.

Here is Belladonna, the Lady of the Rocks,
The lady of situations.
Here is the man with three staves, and here the Wheel,
And here is the one-eyed merchant, and this card
Which is blank, is something that he carries on his back,
Which I am forbidden to see. I do not find
The Hanged Man. Fear death by water.
I see crowds of people, walking round in a ring.
Thank you. If you see dear Mrs. Equitone,
Tell her I bring the horoscope myself;

One must be so careful these days.
