More to skip, less to love :>

I've gotta add for the record that it feels sooo good knowing I don't have to show up for work today. No, not because I'm skipping, but because I'm not scheduled. I've made a commitment, so I'll continue doing this work through the weekend (or as long as I've been scheduled). There's a large party Friday night, and they don't need anyone calling in for any reason. I only stay for the other employees, who would suffer without my presence. Or so I tell myself. Many hands make light work, non?

I slept in for the first time in ages this morning. It was nearly 9 a.m. before I finally crawled out of bed. Tis a beautiful thing, to fall asleep actually LAYING DOWN and wake up later than 4:30. lol :) Yesterday was a blur of laundry and domestic chores, and oddly enough, MANY employment opportunities. I received more phone calls and e-mail about jobs yesterday than I have in months put together. Why is that? Did everyone just now work out their fiscal budgets or what?!

So that was that. Today, I'll be useless. I really should prepare for ze new situation, mentally and physically, get all my ducks in a row, and prepare to learn. I'm very excited about it, and would start today if I could. :> Tis a beautiful thing, when you can say that about your job, right? I think work takes up too much of our lives for us to be miserable. Thus, you should always find a job you love, and that loves ya back. You'll sleep better at night.

Nothing more to openly say. You just wasted two good minutes either trying to find fault with the paintings or reading this tripe. That'll teach ya. ;-)

That is all.

More often than not, I write tripe. lol :)

The first is a do-over from the semi-original I first did (which was missing the whole lower half...lol). :D Thanks!

One person's tripe is another's liver and onions...

I gather your hard-on-the-knees job involved a powerfully unpleasant person? Commiserations! I've moved on a number of times in my working life for the same reason - someone entrenched, in a position of trust and authority, who makes life hell for anyone he/she takes a dislike to. All you can do is either suffer gracefully or move on.

Hope the new job is devoid of such dragons!

In my life, I've tolerated some of the worst personalities on the planet. But at this place, there is a woman there whose stench and hatred for mankind exceeds anything I've ever witnessed bundled altogether. She hates it when others are happy. She hates every/one/. No one is exempt from her gossip, and of course she's in /charge/. Ugh. I cannot tolerate working with someone who's hateful just because they battle demons that we can't see. I won't even say what the rumors about her are, but yes, she's the reason I feel no obligation or duty towards the place. Horrible.

Words.

Here is Belladonna, the Lady of the Rocks,
The lady of situations.
Here is the man with three staves, and here the Wheel,
And here is the one-eyed merchant, and this card
Which is blank, is something that he carries on his back,
Which I am forbidden to see. I do not find
The Hanged Man. Fear death by water.
I see crowds of people, walking round in a ring.
Thank you. If you see dear Mrs. Equitone,
Tell her I bring the horoscope myself;

One must be so careful these days.
