not sure what the og part is, but nictalope is someone who has night blindness or poor vision in the dark. I know this because the SO turns on every light in the apartment because she can't see that well in the dark, but I can, so I joke with her (okay, make fun of her) for it...

IAWTC.

I found this:
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/nyctalopia

But nothing on the prefix og-. Hmm. Not sure where that's from. It's not Latin nor Greek, but not sure.

OG is probably in someone's email or username and means "original gangsta", like the bloods and crips use, LOL! I watch the national geographic channel, so I have the 411 and know what's going down!

Haha! I saw that when I was searching.

I think og- refers to the eye. So, eye-night-blind(ness). Seems a bit redundant to me.

Ooo, and og looks/sounds kinda like Auge, which is "eye" in German.

I love etymology. heh.

This word was used in one of the National Geographic's series on African animals which see at night and tend to be nocturnal. So it's really an animal/thing. Bizarro. We all learned a lil somethin' today :d

I'm closer. I want to say it's a psychological term (I heard the word at work, and was challenged to learn what it meant). This brings me closer, if I can figure out the "og" part.

You won't find it there. I did, however, get some solid answers that make sense (see above). Yay! Closer to the truth :D

My boss thought it was a cool word (and he's into animals), so he memorized it.

ogni is Italian for every, derived from latin omni. talope as a suffix: lope means to run, like antilope. It is a made up word. Together it might just be someone's email address, and like that ...
I may be wrong, but ...

An Ognictablope is mainly animals from Africa, who see at night and tend to be nocturnal :D That's the meaning of the word (and it's really a word). :>

Words.

Here is Belladonna, the Lady of the Rocks,
The lady of situations.
Here is the man with three staves, and here the Wheel,
And here is the one-eyed merchant, and this card
Which is blank, is something that he carries on his back,
Which I am forbidden to see. I do not find
The Hanged Man. Fear death by water.
I see crowds of people, walking round in a ring.
Thank you. If you see dear Mrs. Equitone,
Tell her I bring the horoscope myself;

One must be so careful these days.
