Trimming some SERIOUS journal fat

So I finally decided -- after much heart-wrenching deliberation -- to print my journal out in book form /without/ comments. I feel that often, an entry is made by the comments it garners. Without some of the threads, the entries are, well, just /bland/. But it literally cut printing down TO HALF of what it would've been. That's how much comments ate up my journal. Woah. I kept all the pictures, however (nudging those who asked already). So thur. :>

After reading it the other night, and not being able to stop, it's natural that I'd want printed copies. I'll save them for the spawnlette for when I depart this mortal coil, too. Or really, I just like reading it.

So after discussions with Lulu persons last night, I can get my journal now in about six books (or less). I'm really happy about that. It'll amount to a year a book. I've decided to truncate and remove pages that are half-full (or blank), to save room for each volume. I also deleted the table of contents. Really, it served no purpose.

Yesterday's traffic (in other snooze) was HORRIFIC. The rain around here has lowered everyone's I.Q. by a good 40 points and we oozed home. Same coming in to work. I oozed in. Blah! So I'm having some real bad hair dayz. lol :> I do, however, sleep better when it storms.

I'm kinda excited about designing the covers to my books. That'll be a fun little job in and of itself. They also recommended I title each year (which I'll probably do, based on what major thing happened respectively in each), so I do have a lot of work cut out for me before I run this to the press.

I've chosen the private option for now. But if there's interest in purchasing any of it, let me know via e-mail (tbastedo@aol.com). I might make it open on Lulu, so that all my stalkers can have access to it. lol. Hey...it does include those oh so secret private entries (I deliberated over that, too) which I'm sure they'd /love/ to get their hands on. I don't make much money off the sales, so I'm not going to push it like the Lulu lady wanted me to last night.

And that's that. Nada mucho more to say.

Well, you could always get the version with comments as a PDF and burn the PDFs onto a CD for the spawnlette :D

Actually, I did download it with comments and saved it on a DVD :) So she'll have comments if she wants.

I'm printing out hard copies as I would a book -- there will be one book for each year, now that I've eliminated comments :D Yayz! Plus, I get to design the "cover" of each book. I had to opt for perfect-bound, since it's (believe it or not) less expensive. Go figure.

Collect the whole Time-Life Terri Journal series now for the low low price, and we'll throw in this amazing football phone!

Ha. Or throw in the extra artwork I've added sporadically throughout in random places. :>

yha, get a pdf.

that way if printing costs come down you can do the whole thing, in six installments of just...

Hahaha. It'll cost less than $200 to print ALL of it now. Of course, that's in black and white, but still. I'm excited! I want it in my HANDS.

It sounds like a great idea! Gawd, if I tried to gather together and print out my journals/diaries... what a mess.

You have storms and rain. Lucky thing! We have the wind, the cloud, the FEELING of rain, but no precipitation at all. It's cruel.

There'll be some minor editing going on before I do it, but it'll be fun considering I get to design the cover/jacket to look the way I like it :D It's neat, the self-publishing thing! And it's not at all expensive.

Here is Belladonna, the Lady of the Rocks,
The lady of situations.
Here is the man with three staves, and here the Wheel,
And here is the one-eyed merchant, and this card
Which is blank, is something that he carries on his back,
Which I am forbidden to see. I do not find
The Hanged Man. Fear death by water.
I see crowds of people, walking round in a ring.
Thank you. If you see dear Mrs. Equitone,
Tell her I bring the horoscope myself;

One must be so careful these days.
