Surprise gifts! =D

A big ole thanks to my ever-surprising and wunderbar friend...

Just fyi, the spawnlette made off with half of your gift (which was a bonus surprise :D). She's now undoubtedly in love with you, so RUN. England's not quite far enough :> lol

Now that I'm about to be medicated for my little problem, I've been pigging out. Probably not smart, but after literally starving myself for a couple of weeks, I deserve it :> We compensated for that binging by swimming and then playing tennis today. Yay! We have two new racquets and my spawnlette has natural ability. We had a blast rallying today, and will probably move up to real games before long. :> :) Most important, we're being allowed to spend good time together this summer. I have a feeling this will be the last official chunk of time I'll enjoy with her before friends become the end-all of her life. Thus, I fully intend on making the most of it in every way.

My new bathing suit is precious! I was surprised - due to my negative body image right now - but this one is so cute that anyone would look good in it, I'm thinking. So yay for cool bathing suits.

On a serious note, I'll keep serious things quiet (or for the public) for now. I'm still waiting on more test results and have several scheduled. Ugh. I think all of this is simply par for the course of my main malady. Treatment might need to be changed. And if I'm really lucky, after talking to my doc I could get off this freakin' morphine and put back on the fentanyl patch. I PRAY this is the case.

For those of you to whom I've not been able to speak, I have my reasons. My life is very complicated right now, and there's simply nothing left of me to share. When I get life more regulated, we can chat about /your/ problems. But for right now, I have several of my own that must be fixed and worked on; not added to. Real friends will understand this.

Sounds like a good day! What does your new suit look like? And if anyone would look good in it, maybe I should try it on! Although it might get stretched out in weird places...
May. 31st, 2008 02:12 pm (UTC)
Hahahaha. True, that. :> It was a decent day, indeed. I need more of them. I'm not sure the "girlyness" of the suit would suit you, though, but I'd LOVE to see you model it...at least the bottoms...lol. They're "scoop" bottoms if you know what those are... ;)
May. 31st, 2008 02:18 pm (UTC)
never heard of scoop bottoms, so I'm afraid you'll have to model it!

Oh well, it was worth a try ;)
May. 31st, 2008 07:00 pm (UTC)
It's a style I'm sure you'd appreciate. :>
May. 31st, 2008 07:08 pm (UTC)

May. 31st, 2008 01:34 am (UTC)
well let me be the first of many to request maybe a picture of new bathing suit?

hope you get back on the patch
May. 31st, 2008 02:13 pm (UTC)
Even though I feel grossly overweight, when the right size top comes back (I had to return the medium - too big), I'll get the spawnlette to take photos :>

I hope I get back on the patch too

Jun. 1st, 2008 11:25 am (UTC)
TO the natatorium? LOL! you're funny. we've already spent time at the pool, but i hate going when it's crowded.
Jun. 1st, 2008 12:11 pm (UTC)
yeah, i'm sure i'll go once, and have all sorts of interesting stories about why i'm never going again.
Jun. 1st, 2008 03:30 pm (UTC)
What? To an indoor pool?
Jun. 1st, 2008 03:39 pm (UTC)
yeah, to the local natatorium. i'm sure it'll be quite an experience
Jun. 1st, 2008 03:43 pm (UTC)
you're talking like you've never been to an indoor pool, mayn...what's up? lol
Jun. 1st, 2008 03:47 pm (UTC)
well, it's been many a moon... like, 20 years? eons, mayne
Jun. 1st, 2008 03:48 pm (UTC)
but why go to an indoor pool in ze summer?
Jun. 1st, 2008 03:44 pm (UTC)
...plus, you can go there during the winter. the summer means fun in the sun; thus, no indoor poolage. that spoils it all.
Jun. 1st, 2008 03:48 pm (UTC)
they have a huge roof that they keep open... i might look at other pools, but a lot of them require private memberships, which are like boocoo buckage.
May. 31st, 2008 05:04 am (UTC)

Glad you got it!

But she's so cute and harmless!

*hugs you*
May. 31st, 2008 02:13 pm (UTC)
ooooo not true!
May. 31st, 2008 05:13 pm (UTC)
So... I should hide?

May. 31st, 2008 07:01 pm (UTC)
maybe! :)
May. 31st, 2008 08:07 am (UTC)
Sounds good stuff. Focus on getting through your own life-concerns, hon, and if there's time/energy left over, then consider interactions with others.

But really, you're doing this the right way round, I feel.
Best wishes and hugs!

Real friends will understand this

Which is why there have been no nudges, pokes, prods or otherwise pesters in your general direction. :)
Jun. 1st, 2008 07:00 pm (UTC)
ooooooooo i dunno. el jay is a selfish realm, as i'm sure you know. you'd be surprised at those who think their "serious situations" won't matter in a year, and yet still, i'm the chosen one to bear knowledge to these things, if not provide advice, comfort, etc. Right now, I'm just not fit for it, ya know?

Here is Belladonna, the Lady of the Rocks,
The lady of situations.
Here is the man with three staves, and here the Wheel,
And here is the one-eyed merchant, and this card
Which is blank, is something that he carries on his back,
Which I am forbidden to see. I do not find
The Hanged Man. Fear death by water.
I see crowds of people, walking round in a ring.
Thank you. If you see dear Mrs. Equitone,
Tell her I bring the horoscope myself;

One must be so careful these days.
