Give a big ole hearty wilcommen to...

A fellow Cure freak, and child of the '80s. Always a good friend to add to your reading list. :) I knew there was a reason why I joined some of these communities! It doesn't happen often, but when you DO connect with someone who shares the same passions as you, you quickly drink from that lil oasis.

He makes the second friend I have on here from down Undah. Heh. :) *starts singing about Vegemite sammiches...*

Yay for new friends!! Poor guy won't know what hit him until he starts reading this sheize. And he already picked up on my homicidal tendacies without reading me. Heh. He's a sharp one. Fear him!

Umm...where did I go wrong?!

GREAT. Don't answer that question. I'm sorry -- but I can't imagine what it would be like to share a meal with him.

Aw shucks, thankyou I feel so loved and welcome and it was all sparkly *giggle*. I love your set up here it is so wild I feel like a kid at the circus. Contrary to popular belief I am actually not scared by clowns it is ONLY Ronald McDonald who gives me the Heebie Jeebies.

You may be able to help me I have had that 80's classic '8675309...Jenny' stuck in my head all day but I cant for the life of me remember who sings it. If you can tell me I will like you even more than I already do..oh that is NOT going to encourage you now is it *giggle*.

Isn't that a '70s song? I'm pretty sure it is. Dunno the answer right off the bat =/

I went from one busy environment to another! LOL. My intent was to clean it up some. And ALL CLOWNS are scary!! Yikes!

Re: Er...
Nope it is definately 80's about 1982 I think "Jenny Jenny I got your number off a wall wont you please call 8675309" but this dim dim still cant remember who sang it.

I just realised why I get so many emails, I keep posting that I am "Zeta, Swedish blonde 19 Y.O. girl who wants to be shown a wild time and will show it to the guy who emails me the most" *LOL*.

Re: Er...
Hahahaha. :-D I'm thinkin' most of us would report that kinda thing as spam :)

I banged my head against a wall yesterday trying to figure it out, but don't think any of my friends will remember it (if we don't, anyway). Wait...what about EARLY EARLY '80s, like 1980-1981? I'm probably searching the wrong time.

Re: Er...
Yep I think it may have been really early 80's and it was a big hit. You would definately know it if you heard it, maybe not if I sang it but definately if you heard it. My former best mate would know but he and I are not speaking (ever again) so I am at a loss as who too ask too. I might ask in a post at one of the 80's sites. I asked one day who sang the song "Screaming Jets" and not only did I get told it was Johnny Warman but this girl/lady/female/non male (gee it is hard being politically correct these days *LOL*) actually sent me all the lyrics too.

Sorry you had to bang your head..maybe THAT gave you the headache..ah it only took me 3 days to give you a headache, that is slow for me. Actually I have a screamer tonight, oh the joy of whiplash and computer typing. *who wants to give me a massage?*. My name is Zeta and....(hey I am getting deperate).

Re: Er...
Actually, I can sing THE WHOLE SONG, but can't remember who did it!!! Doh. *picks nose*

What happened with you and your best mate? :( That's kinda sad.

Zeta...hahahah. I'm great with my hands. C'mere, and I'll rub ya til you pass out and drool. :)

Re: Er...
Oh my I have just hit new levels of ecstacy not only do I know who sang the song but I have also been offered a massage and I don't have to dress in drag for it Woohoo *does the happy dance*.

O.K. deep breath to compose myself (mainly because of the massage offer) it was sung by Tommy Tutone and it was in 1982.

As for the best mate story I would rather tell you via email as I have a bit of a "dark past" that I don't want put out on LJ but I am happy that I know you well enough to "not be judged" on it. Is it cool if I email you on it, it is a long story so I wont email you, if O.K. until Monday (my 1 day off).

BTW I was watching Judge Judy at work today and they mentioned your home town. Gee I would love to go toe to toe with Judge Judy.

Off to book plane ticket for massage ;)

Re: Er...
Sure! You can mail me at tbastedo@aol.com.

AH HA!!! THAT'S RIGHT!! I should've asked my friends, because ONE of 'em would've known that (although it seems when I get stuck on a song, no one seems to remember, and *I* end up being the official on the whole thing).

EWWWW! WHY ARE YOU WATCHING JUDGE JUDY? Trust me, it may appear to be back woods on television, but Birmingham is actually a cool metropolis. Well, as cool as Atlanta (almost), with 1/2 the traffic (although traffic here STILL SUCKS). :)

Re: Er...
Why am I watching Judge Judy...hmmm good question. Probably because I dont have cable at work and that only gives me 5 channels to choose from and the choices other than the Judge are 1. "Playschool...and they NEVER go through the round window so I boycott it!" 2. "Passions...which if you have ever even seen a commercial for it you know why I don't choose it.
3. "New Macdonalds farm" which suffice to say a programme on beastiality would be more entertaining and 4."The last Pecheniuk" which I have absolutely no idea what it is. *LOL* The only other alternative is to work and that is so not an option :)

Re: Er...
I don't have cable; but I *never* watch television EVERRRRRRRRRRRR. :-D *preens*

I do, however, have the largest movie collection of anyone this side of the Mason/Dixon line. :)

Re: Er...
The following is not a criticism as it is a quality that I admire but somehow I can see you rejecting TV as you are a control freak (as I said in a nice way) and want to watch what you want when you want :)

Re: Er...
Actually, I'm a 'QUALITY' control freak (which is why I just can't watch t.v.). The scripts are poorly written and it's STUPIDDDDDDDDD.

The only thing I care for is VH1's behind the music and Cartoon Network :-D

Re: Er...
We have had a few of those 'Behind the music' shows and they are great. As for Cartoon Network I am so not going to argue ;) I was watching some cable music show last night and they played Go West's "We close our eyes"....Oh memories.

June 2019

Here is Belladonna, the Lady of the Rocks,
The lady of situations.
Here is the man with three staves, and here the Wheel,
And here is the one-eyed merchant, and this card
Which is blank, is something that he carries on his back,
Which I am forbidden to see. I do not find
The Hanged Man. Fear death by water.
I see crowds of people, walking round in a ring.
Thank you. If you see dear Mrs. Equitone,
Tell her I bring the horoscope myself;

One must be so careful these days.
